Excellent base for visiting the cairngorm area. The house is very homely with everything you could possibly need, including wifi, paddock, washer, dryer, toys, DVDs, maps etc...
I would highly recommend this accommodation without hesitation as I am a frequent visitor myself to this beautiful home. Can't wait to return

We have stayed in the Pilmuir cottage just outside Boat of Garten in Scotland. We are very enthousiastic about the house. It is spatious, warm, cosy and has a terrific fire place. It is a real family honme. The view is beautiful.It is a wonderful place to come home to after a day of hiking! We would love to come back some time.

We enjoyed a short stay at this property in May. It's very clean, well equipped and is a real home from home. Within walking distance of Boat of Garten which has a couple of really good restuarants - Andersons and The Boat. Would highly recommend this holiday cottage.

Pilmuir really is a home from home. Beautiful cottage in beautiful countryside. The house is well equipped with everything a family needs. We were very comfortable here. The kids just loved the marshy forest land out the back and spent hours exploring it. The views from the lovely window seats in the cottage are breath taking. Would love to visit again and thoroughly recommend it.

We had a lovely stay, the house has absolutely everything you need for a comfortable home from home - we had a great week, thanks. Our 4 year old wanted to take some of the toys home and has made me promise we'll come back again to visit them... We even saw a badger in the garden one evening!

The responsibility of booking our 2014 holiday fell on me this time. I needed to find someone with a good location, suitable for two young children big enough for two cars and 7 people that was clean and comfortable. Well it was perfect! My sister (who has the children) was really pleased as it had pretty much everything she felt was needed though I didn't think to ask about child locks on the kitchen cupboards before booking. This was a minor thing as everything else about the place was brilliant. The bedrooms were a great size, the garden was great and we saw Roe Deer regularly in the garden right behind the house. We saw Osprey and buzzards from the windows and there was a Tawny Owl sleeping in the tree by the house. We didn't eat out on any nights in order to save money and simply because it was very comfortable eating at the cottage. It is spacious enough to feel like a nice event every evening. I found the owners extremely friendly to the point that I could text them whilst travelling to the cottage because I forgot where to find the key. If you have a family and you need a child-friendly cottage to stay in, this is just perfect and close enough to the main road that you don't need to worry about finding it. I would highly recommend this cottage. It is also within very easy distance of fantastic days out including Loch Garten, other beautiful lochs, Cairngorm mountain amongst other brilliant places.

We spent the February 2014 half term holiday in this beautiful cottage. The cottage was clean well designed and a pleasure to retreat to after days out skiing and exploring the local scenery. My favorite about cottage is the open plan kitchen/dining/lounge was a pleasure to cook in the kitchen and relax after. All bedrooms very specious. The bathrooms also perfect. To top it off this cottage is set in the most stunning scenery with a paddock and woods to explore behind. To date the best cottage holiday so far will be going back for sure :-) it was a pleasure to stay in your cottage. Thank you.

A lovely located cottage for sightseeing and touring. It is well equipped to a high standard and has almost everything you could wish for.
It is next to a fairly busy road but we didn't find it an issue, noise was slight.
Would highly recommend this property.

Pilmuir is an great house with everything you need for a relaxing and comfortable holiday. The local villages and towns cater for all your needs and is in easy reach of the main A9 route North or South.
With lovely views over the Cairngorms what more could you ask for.

Pilmuir is a very comfortable house with such a lovely welcoming feel to it when you walk through the door, especially after a long day walking in the mountains The view over the Cairngorms is wonderful and stunning. There is a wide variety of birds that visit in the garden and if you are lucky Red squirrels too. Its situation is perfect for visiting the local area whether you head north or south. Highly recommended.
