This one of the most fascinating areas of Europe, with the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees close by. It has an exceptional climate and has an unusually rich wildlife, a spectacular coast, and wonderful history. You can visit mountains, rivers, lakes, cities, and villages, cathedrals, and Cathar castles. You can easily access Carcassonne with its huge castle, Montpellier, historic Pezenas, ancient Beziers, Narbonne, Perpignan, Nime, Arles, Avignon, Aige Mortes and the Carmargue, the costal villages and towns and even Barcelona all for day trips. There are also numerous cultural activities, along with French regional food specialties, and Languedoc wines. Local festivals range from bull-running to the carnival in Limoux and from water-jousting in the port of Sete to celebrating the 'Vendange' or harvest festival in September. Local villages are all well worth a visit.
You will never be short of something to do.

The house has been significantly updated since the purchase and that included electrics, walls, ceilings and internal and external decoration. In the garden the pool was added, followed by the terrace and the patio.
This year we have completed the tiling of the patio, added satellite television with a wide range of programmes and painted the outside of the house top to bottom.
The house is close to everything. In the village we have a great selection of restaurants and shops. Medical services are easy to access.
Supermarkets are close by 5 minutes from the centre of the village or over in Roujan. Hypermarkets can be found in Beziers. You can walk, cycle or drive in pleasant lanes. Soak up culture and history or just enjoy the beach.
One thing is certain you will find whatever you want closeby!
