Gran Canaria may be the second largest of the Canary Islands but it's miles apart from its brash and sometimes 'in your face' sister island of Tenerife.
Gran Canaria offers everything you'd ever expect from a sunshine filled holiday destination, with a warm climate throughout the year, but Gran Canaria has something rather special, something intoxicating, something that will make you want to return year on year. It's hard to describe just what that something is, may be it's the people and their lovely friendly and welcoming attitude, may be it's the laid back and relaxing atmosphere of the island or could it be the stunning scenery you find around every corner? I don't know exactly, but I and many thousands of tourists agree each year, if your looking for an island for your perfect holidays, then you really can't beat Gran Canaria. Go swimming with the dolphins, take a submarine ride down to the stunning corals and reefs, relax on the white sands or simply party away to the early hours. If your sports minded then try a round on one of many 5* Golf Courses or why not have a ride on a Camel across the 'Sahara-like' dunes in Maspalomas.
